The Garrett County Health Department has issued a water contact advisory for Broadford Lake due to the presence of a blue-green algae (Microcystis) bloom. The Town reaffirms that the Oakland drinking water supply remains clean, reliable, and safe. Oakland’s raw source water and processed drinking water are regularly tested in accordance with regulations and results continue to confirm that the drinking water remains safe for consumption.

The Town of Oakland is seeking interested Town of Oakland residents to serve on the Oakland Board of Zoning Appeals for a three-year term or the Planning Commission for a five-year term.

Trash Pickup Schedule Update -

Due to the Labor Day holiday, trash collection will be delayed by one day the week following Labor Day. If your regular pickup day is Monday, it will be on Tuesday - & so on for the rest of the week.
