4th Street Traffic Pattern Change

Beginning Monday, December 9, 2024, 4th Street will be closed to north and southbound traffic between Mitchell Manor and Brian F. Thomas Drive and the 4th Street bridge will be opened as a single lane. This revised traffic pattern will allow Mitchell Manor residents with access to Route 219 at a traffic light, while minimizing usage of the 4th Street bridge until it is replaced in 2025.

At the October 7, 2024 public meeting, the Mayor and Town Council voted to introduce Ordinance 2024-04. The ordinance will increase Oakland water and sewer rates effective January 1, 2025. A public hearing for the ordinance’s adoption will be held during the November 4, 2024 5pm public meeting.
