Water Leak at 8th and Oak

All Oakland water customers south of Alder Street are temporarily without water service while the Water Department repairs a lead at the intersection of 8th Street and Oak Street. Water service is expected to be restored later this evening, Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

When service is restored, temporary discoloration may occur when the lines repressurize. If you experience discoloration, run cold water to help flush it out. Call Town Hall with any questions 301-334-2691 - business hours M-F 8:30am - 4:30pm.
