Town of Oakland Launches Public Zoning Permit Archive

The Town of Oakland is committed to transparency and public access to information. In response to community questions about zoning permits and review processes, the Town has launched a new publicly accessible list of zoning permit applications on the Town website.

The Zoning Permit Archive allows residents to view zoning permit applications that have been submitted to the Town, along with permits that have been issued. This resource is intended to provide clearer insight into how zoning requests move through the review process and what types of uses are being proposed within town limits.

Please note that zoning permit review is an administrative process governed by the Town Code and applicable state law. Not all zoning permits require public notice or hearings but all applications must comply with adopted zoning regulations.

The Zoning Permit Archive will be kept up to date with new permits and is available under the About tab on the oaklandmd.gov website.
