TOWN OF OAKLAND, MARYLAND 
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) 
PRE-ENGINEERED METAL BUILDING PACKAGE 
Bid Opening: October 24, 2025 — 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. 

 

I. INTRODUCTION 

The Town of Oakland, Maryland is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified vendors to furnish a pre-engineered metal building package measuring 150 feet by 207 feet, including structural components, engineering drawings, and delivery/staging to the designated project site. This RFP is intended to identify a supplier capable of meeting the Town’s specifications, schedule, and quality standards. 

 

II. SCOPE OF WORK 

The selected vendor shall provide the following: 

  1. Building Package Specifications 

  • Pre-engineered steel building system measuring 150' wide x 207' long. 

  • Clear-span frame construction unless otherwise approved. 

  • Roof and wall panels, structural members, and insulation necessary for complete assembly. 

  1. Engineering & Documentation 

  • Stamped structural drawings by a licensed professional engineer registered in the State of Maryland. 

  • Foundation reaction loads and anchor bolt plans. 

  • Assembly and erection drawings showing complete details for field installation. 

  1. Delivery & Staging 

  • Delivery and off-loading coordination at the designated Town site (location to be provided at award). 

  • Vendor shall include all costs for delivery and staging. 

  • All materials shall be clearly labeled and packaged to facilitate efficient installation. 

 

III. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

Proposals must include: 

  • Company name, address, and point of contact. 

  • Detailed product specifications, including drawings, materials, and coatings. 

  • Proposed project schedule including estimated lead time for drawings and delivery. 

  • Any warranty documentation. 

All proposals shall be sealed and clearly marked “RFP – Pre-Engineered Building Package” and delivered to:

Proposals will be accepted from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. on Friday, October 24, 2025. Late proposals will not be considered. 

 

The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town of Oakland. 

 

V. GENERAL CONDITIONS 

  • All submitted materials become property of the Town of Oakland. 

  • The Town is not responsible for any costs incurred in preparing a response to this RFP. 

  • The selected vendor will be required to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
