Oakland Officials Remind Voters of Upcoming Municipal Election 

The Town of Oakland will hold its annual election on Monday, March 9, 2024.  The polls will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Voters will enter the Council Chambers by the side door to vote. 

One candidate will be elected as Mayor for a 2-year term, and three candidates will be elected to a 2-year term on Council.  Those running for office are Andrew Sauder for Mayor and Jeramiah Pina, Tonya Helbig, and Robert “Scott” Lohr.  Terms expire for Andrew Sauder, Tonya Helbig and Robert “Scott” Lohr.  

Others now serving are Council Members Jay Moyer, President, Fred Gregg, and Dave Beard.   

Any questions regarding the Oakland Municipal Election may be directed to the Oakland City Hall at 301-334-2691 or by email: [email protected].  Absentee ballots must be returned to Oakland City Hall prior to the polls closing at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2024.
